In November 1983 Point-A-Rally scoring was trialled at a three day event in Gt Yarmouth, England, the Pro-Kennex Challenge. It used a best of 3 games to 11 points for the early rounds (and a 3 point sudden death at 10 all) designed for shorter, high incident matches. Semis and final were best of 5 games.
It was promoted by World Championship Squash Ltd, a promoter group working with ISPA (former name of PSA) who tested new rules, courts and white balls.
The pictured players were LtoR: Philip Kenyon, Ross Thorne, Chris Dittmar, Hiddy Jahan, Gawain Briars, Dean Williams, Maqsood Ahmed (with Stuart Davenport absent).
