30 years ago in 1996, The Sunday Times, a UK newspaper published a list of  1,000 ‘Makers of Sport’.

The players, and pioneers/leaders came from 82 sports, and featured eight from squash.

Perhaps Jansher Khan might have been included as he had already secured legendary status around that time, but the ones who were list certainly had laid their claim.

They were Jonah Barrington, Susan Devoy, Geoff Hunt, Hashim Khan, Jahangir Khan, Michelle Martin, Heather McKay and Janet Morgan (listed as Shardlow).
