Abdul Bari Benefit Match

Squash Library

70 years ago, on 27 Feb 1955, a benefit match was held for the widow of Abdul Bari, runner up in the British Open 1950, who had died in 1954 at the age of 33 of a brain haemorrhage.

The top players of the time rallied round for the family of the Indian player, a distant relative of Roshan and Nasrullah Khan.

Here is the programme featuring background on Bari and other player details.
