The programme for the December 1971 edition of the men’s British Amateur championship featured an article written by the late celebrated squash journalist Dicky Rutnagur (1971 pic), entitled ‘The Squash Boom’. It is very much a state of the game, detailing growth, the Barrington influence and how the newly installed glass backwall at Abbeydale Sports Club could be a game-changer.
