Jesters continue the British Amateur

In 1980 amateur status for squash ceased i.e. the game went ‘open’. Until then the British Amateur had been a prime world event, and the Jesters Club wanted to keep it going, albeit informally, as the Jesters Trophy.
It continues to this day, from year one until recently spearheaded and managed by the late Peter Chalk.
